Faith Promise Giving (FPG) is a personal commitment you make to God to give a certain amount of money over the next twelve months for the purpose of global outreach and evangelism. This commitment would be above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings.
It is only made after you have prayerfully sought God’s will and discernment for the amount He wants you to give.
FPG can then make missions giving strategic and purposeful rather than sporadic.
FPG differs from other types of giving such as pledges. A pledge is an agreement between men and is considered a horizontal contract.
FPG should be vertical since it should be made between you and the Lord.
LOVE, TRUST, OBEDIENCE
It has to do with LOVE! You love the Lord and want to be used in His work.
It has to do with TRUST. You must trust in Him to supply the amount He has asked you to give.
Finally, it has to do with OBEDIENCE. Are you willing to obey Him and give the Faith Promise He has asked you to give?
