Welcome to our Visitor's Page! Whether it is your first Sunday visiting us or you are thinking about dropping in, we are happy you found us. Visiting a new church can be an intimidating or confusing experience, so we created this page to help you navigate your first visit with us!

Our church is a small, casual environment made of people who love the Lord and value community. When you visit us, you will never be put on the spot or be required to contribute to our offering. We just want to share the love of Christ with you through authentic worship, genuine fellowship, and spending time learning about God's word and growing together.
If you want to come to observe a church for the first time or if you have recently moved to the area and are looking for a new church home or if you are just curious to know what church is like, we welcome you and are excited to meet you!

Main Building

This is our Main Building where we hold our:
  • Sunday Service in the sanctuary from 10-11:30 AM.
  • Sunday evening Growth Group, which meets for food, fellowship, and Bible study, in the basement every Sunday from 5:30-7:30 PM. 
  • Wednesday Night Prayer Meetings in the sanctuary weekly from 7-8 PM. 
  • Monthly Men's Breakfast, which meets in the basement on the first Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM.

Children's Ministries: Education Building

Our children's ministries are primarily held in our Education Building. All classrooms are downstairs, while the gym occupies the top floor.

This is where we hold our:
  • Sunday School class from 9-10 AM every Sunday.
  • Nursery, Toddler Care, and Children's Church Classes during Sunday Service from 10-11:30 AM.
  • Awana program every Wednesday from 6:45-8:15 PM.

Small Groups: S.W.A.G. Shack (Saved with Amazing Grace)

Our multipurpose S.W.A.G. Shack is used for various group gatherings. Here we host our:

  • Early Adult Bible Study, which meets on Sundays from 9-10 AM. 
  • Junior Church Group (10-13 year olds), which meets during the Sunday Service after the worship portion
  • Youth Group meetings, every Sunday from 5:30-7:30 PM. 
  • Women's Group, called "Resolved," select Thursdays from 6-8 PM (this is a seasonal group; check the Facebook page or church calendar for event details).
  • Our seasonal small groups often gather in this building as well.

What's a Baptist?

What's A Baptist
Some items that make us distinctly Baptist are:
  • Baptism is reserved solely for true confessing adults, and children are to wait until they have made a credible profession of faith to receive the sacraments.
  • Each local church is self governing and not answerable to a larger denominational body.
  • We are also congregationally run, so all major decisions are made by vote.
We also have specific statements of faith and biblical precepts that guide our thinking, which you can see by clicking on “About" at the top of the page.

In addition to our communal worship time, we also feature a piece of special music each week, sung by one of our members.

Pastor Josh and Pastor John, who preach on alternating weeks, are aligned to the expository preaching model, which Tim Keller defined as a way to "ground[ ] the message in the text so that all the sermon’s points are the points in the text, and it majors in the texts’s major ideas." (Preaching: Communicating Faith in an Age of Skepticism) 

Ways to Get Involved

There are lots of ways to get involved at JBC! Just by coming to events and fellowshipping with the body of Christ, you are already involved! If you are looking to volunteer: 
  • For a children's ministry, such as Awana, children's church, or junior church, ask Judy Magie. 
  • For an adult ministry, such as men's breakfast, community groups, or music, ask Pastor Josh or Pastor John.
